Role Overview
The Solution Architect plays a critical role in building a holistic view and roadmap of Semos Cloud’s technology strategy and processes. The SA cooperates with multiple stakeholders, both business and internally, to analyze use cases and recommend enterprise solutions, aligned with our strategy and industry best-practices. The SA paves the way for future enterprise platform capabilities and leads various innovation projects.
Major Responsibilities
·Provide architecture and technology leadership for building and deploying applications on SAP Business Technology Platform and across multiple clouds.
·Creating blueprints for integration, extension, and customization of SAP Business Technology Platform services
·Work closely with cross-functional teams to implement and optimize SAP BTP services, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems and applications
·Ensure the security, reliability, and performance of SAP BTP environments through continuous monitoring and optimization.
·Provide technical support and troubleshooting for SAP BTP services, resolving issues in a timely manner.
·Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in SAP BTP, recommending best practices and improvements.
·Analyze business requirement specifications from PM, CS and customers and evaluates the impact on the overall product architecture . Provide support with the engineering planning for the software requirement specifications (story dependency, content clarifications).
·Provide support during implementation (design, coding, testing, bug fixing, product documentation, training development, demo development).
·Provide technical oversight to the development process including reviewing the technical design and the deployment architecture.
·Review engineering software design documents, product documentation, description, and marketing materials, to ensure conformance with the functional software specification.
·Work on high availability and disaster recovery strategies guiding the team with multi-region and multi-cloud deployments.
·Identify and introduce new technologies and patterns that can elevate the platform. Build strategies to automate test, security, performance measurements in CI pipelines
·Create and/or update overall system architectural overview and diagrams.
·Implement best practices in platform security, including data protection, access controls, and compliance with industry standards.
·Develop and convert reference architecture and patterns, which will be used across Semos Cloud to enable standardized cloud solutions
·Owner and custodian over DevOps cultural philosophy, framework, practices, and tools that increases an organization’s ability to deliver applications and services at high velocity
·Mentor and provide guidance to junior architects and engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
To be successful in this role, you need
·7+ years’ experience in software architecture and design, cloud services architecture, technical design and implementations including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS. (must)
·Experience in cloud computing application implementations on SAP Business Technology Platform, or optionally of AWS, Azure, Google Cloud. (must)
·Designed and implemented SAP BTP solutions for clients across multiple industries
·Provided on-going support and maintenance for SAP BTP environments, ensuring optimal performance and user satisfaction
·Growth Mindset and passion about our products
·Bachelor’s degree in computer science/ engineering
·Strong background in creating secure cloud architectures for customer facing applications, for enterprises and highly scalable.
·Excellent understanding of micro-services architecture, design patterns, and standard methodologies with an eye towards scale, automation, resiliency, high availability, and disaster recovery
·Experience with open-source DevOps CI/CD tools for multi-cloud deployments.
·Excellent understanding of networking, load balancing, security, configuration, and certificate management.
·Strong leadership, interpersonal, influencing, collaboration and negotiation skills. pro-active, self-motivated, and highly reliable.
·Strong analytical skills. Ability of argumentation, negotiation, and conflict resolution.
