Role Overview
The Finance Associate role will support key financial operations, including budgeting, invoicing, reporting, and reconciliations, contributing to our organization's overall financial health. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, comfortable with data, and ready to grow within a dynamic tech environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support revenue management and invoicing processes, ensuring timely and accurate billing for customers, based on customer contracts.
- Monitor accounts receivable, send payment reminders, and assist in managing overdue payments to ensure timely cash collection.
- Verify vendor invoices, match them with POs, assist in approving payments and other expense management responsibilities.
- Assist in recording financial transactions and support the month-end close process by reconciling accounts, preparing adjusting entries
- Support the process of preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including revenue and expense tracking.
- FP&A support to budgeting and forecasting processes by gathering data and preparing initial drafts under supervision.
- Conduct basic variance analysis to identify discrepancies between budgeted and actual performance.
- Help track key SaaS performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare performance reports for management review.
- Provide administrative support for audits, compliance, and ad-hoc financial projects as needed.
- Work cross-functionally with Sales and Customer Success teams to ensure alignment on revenue-related data.
To be successful in this role, you need
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in finance or accounting.
- Basic knowledge of financial principles and accounting practices
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs), financial software is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced SaaS environment.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic SaaS environment.
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
Nice to Have
- Previous experience in banking or accounting (e.g., internships, part-time roles, or coursework involving bank reconciliations, ledger management, or financial statement preparation).
- Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI).
